In the last two decades, wedding videography has expanded beyond documentation of weddings. It can be a journalistic, but some video is very cinematic or concept style that requires prescripting and planning
Many types of video may be chosen. Engagement/proposal video documenting how one person proposes to his or her partner. An engagement/proposal video is usually filmed without the other person's knowledge in order to capture the other person's genuine reaction & surprise.
Photo montage or video scrapbooks is still pictures or short video clips displayed on a video. With today's technology many couples can now do this themselves. Gather photos or video from the bride and groom growing up and their courtship together. This is great to play during the reception or banquet.
Love story is typically an interview of the soon to be couple about how they met, what they are like together and what their plans for the future are. Quite often the interview is inter-cut with romantic footage of the couple frolicking together or re-enactments of what they are talking about. This is not as common today, where the FIRST LOOK videos are becoming popular.
A wedding highlight video is usually a 3 to 12 minutes video that highlights the best moments of the wedding day
